format

Music. I love music. I listen to as much music throughout the day as possible and as many kinds as possible. Country is my music of choice though, it is my overall favorite. I am very open to other genres though. There have been a few songs lately that I just can't wait to hear them come on the radio, some of them I am surprised at myself for even liking. Some of these songs include: "Feel That Fire" by Dierks Bentley, "Whatever You Like" by TI, "Womanizer" by Britney, "More Like Her" by Miranda Lambert, and so on (there are really so many that you would probably go nuts if I listed them all!). Along with all of this, I try and sing as many songs while I am working at FedEx as possible, but I will only do it if I am in a trailor alone or with a select few individuals. Just a little interesting bit for you to think about.

Seeing. I enjoy being able to see. Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to be blind, I cannot even imagine it. It is so hard for me to comprehend how I would think and feel about the world if I didn't have my eyesight. Although my eyesight is pretty terrible on its own, I get to wear glasses and contacts and can still see. Another thing I have wondered from time to time is what the Indians or other early beings that didn't have technologies that we do worlds were like. They didn't have glasses or contacts (at least that I am aware), so how crappy would that be?! I can stand being without my contacts/glasses for about 30 seconds then I am driven nuts and start feeling aggravated. It is such an interesting thing to me.

Hair. I am still loving my hair being so short. I really need to go get it trimmed soon though. I also would like to get highlights or something fun done to it as well. I love getting two colors put in, but not two wild colors, just two normal colors. It will happen sooner or later and then of course, I will have to post pictures of it!

Sports. I absolutely love sports and more importantly, observing them in person. It has been a couple of weeks since I went to a Timberwolves game and I really wish I was at the game they are playing RIGHT NOW (vs. the Spurs). I wonder if Eva the Diva is there tonight? I went to see the Twolves vs. Spurs earlier this year, I must say Tony Parker was out of control!! He was making me so mad, he just would not miss a shot! There was only one guy on our team who could halfway defend him (and he only did about the last 4 minutes, and the TWO overtimes!), that is (my favorite) Corey Brewer. Another thing along the line of sports, is baseball. I miss baseball season. The four or so months that it isn't around really make me feel like the world has stopped. hahaha. I LOVE baseball. It is one of the greatest things that is on this earth. That and hot dogs, how fitting it is that they go so hand-in-hand! Perfect.

Later. I will be talking later. Enjoy. :)

work it work it

You can usually tell a lot about a person by the movies they like. I was thinking about this today, I don't really know why, but then I thought about my top 3 movies and wondered what they say about me. I think the movies I like would be pretty easy to analyze, the ones I have as my top 3 are Walk the Line, The Patriot, & Meet the Robinsons. I LOVE those three movies and most people would probably say I like history, a little romance, good wholesome story lines, etc etc. I am not so sure if there is much to take from all of this, but it is just what I was thinking about this afternoon.

Onto another subject, I have been having so much fun at FedEx the last couple weeks, moreso on the "twilight" shift, rather than day shift. I feel the people make it a really fun experience and we all get along so well it is a blast. Yesterday and this evening I laughed so hard, my abs are really sore, I haven't laughed that hard in such a looong time. It reminds me of the first time I got to go to a sporting event after having been quarentined with tuberculosis. My best friend Natasha and I, along with our friend Steve laughed so hard, I remember hurting so bad in the abdominals. I just love that feeling, LOVE IT.

Moving along to something random, I was also thinking about spoonerisms today at work. I talk in spoonerisms so dang much. Maybe even more than anybody else I have ever met. I always am curious as to why that happens, or what makes some talk in spoonerisms more than others? In case you don't know what a spoonerism is (which I bet you know for sure what it is, you just may not know the term that is dubbed on it), it is when you switch letters of words when you are talking, for example "lapped chips" rather than "chapped lips." I cannot really think of any other good examples right at this moment, which is odd, because about everyday I say one or think one. So peculiar to me.

Another thing that happened at work, is how I once again have so many hours that I get to take a shift off tomorrow. I really wanted to pick the day shift just because I get way more frustrated during it, but went with the twilight shift. At least that allows me to pick my dad up from the airport so he doesn't have to take a cab. Cabbies are kind of odd, strange people so that makes me feel bad when he has to. Also, my boyfriend is probably going to drive up from Iowa tomorrow so at least this way he can come earlier and things will most likely work out better that way.

Well I think that should be a big enough piece of my gabbing for you to chew on for a while! Until later :)

check it out now

Well, it is late! I am rather tired right now but I just wanted to jot a quick blog.
First, I must say I absolutely LOVE "Chelsea Lately" (tv show on E!). It is so hilarious, everytime I watch it, I just love it more and more. It is pretty great. I guess, what I really want to say is, everybody: WATCH IT!!!!! check it out now.
Alright, other than television, I have been working a heck of a lot! I don't really do anything except work. Well on the weekends I get to go have fun of course, but during the week I am always busy. Some crazy guy at work also seems to believe I am losing weight, I don't think I am, but I think its funny that he says that. He is CRAZY seriously.
On another subject, I want to make sugar cookies this weekend. I don't know if I actually will, but I sure want to! That would be great.
Also, I really want to see my best friend NATASHA SLESK HOLMQUIST BARASHKA. seriously now. seriously.
And that is all. :)

Packerland

One thing I have always loved is a good weekend, this weekend was definitely one of those. I went with my dad to Green Bay, WI for a Christmas party. It was a very fun trip.

We left on late Friday afternoon so that we would get to Wausau, WI at about dinner time, that way we could eat at this great restaurant, Hereford & Hops. It was delicious! It is a place where you pick your own steak and grill it yourself. It was such a neat experience and the steaks were very great as well.

Saturday morning we left the hotel early in the morning and went shopping. I found some great deals and bought a lot of fun shirts at Steve & Berry's. Then we went to a couple other stores and I found just a couple more things.

Saturday night was the party and I had an excellent time. Met a lot of nice people and a lot of fun people. There were some funny events at the party, lots of laughter, and lots of good food. After the party we just watched tv in our hotel room, but I went to the vending machines and much to my surprise the meat company's salami sticks were in the vending machine! I was surprised but quite pleased.

We then drove back to Minnesota today. It was snowing towards the end of the drive, but it was a good one. Life on the road is always, ALWAYS, better when you have XM. (Well now it is Sirius XM--they merged).

Anyhow, that is the update on the weekend I had. Now I have a big week ahead and hope it goes well and I can't wait for it to be Friday. Hahahahaha. No, I don't hate the weekdays that much, but Fridays are so enjoyable. Well until another time... :)

hot then cold

What a week! I went full time at FedEx so I was BUSY this week. Monday was killer really, the other days weren't too bad. The best news is I have too many hours so I don't even have to work tomorrow!! I am pretty dang excited about it, because today I was struggling to make my muscles work hard and fast. Also, my dad and I are going to Green Bay and now we don't have to wake up early Saturday morning, but instead we leave tomorrow night! I was also informed that we get to stop at this restaurant that is on the way there, it is a steak house where you get to pick your own steak or something? We stopped there last time on the way but it was during lunch still so we missed the good stuff, except my dad has been there before for the dinner part, thats how he knows its a great place to go for dinner. I am pretty excited about that!
Anyhow, I am kind of tired and should probably go to bed! So maybe some fun news will come by the end of the weekend. We'll see. Until then..... :)

strike!

This weekend turned out to be A LOT of fun! I had a blast. Friday night, went to Michael's (craft store) to get some more yarn to finish off the hat I was knitting for my dear friend Morgggan (she doesn't really have 3 g's in her name, that is just my exaggeration!). Anyhow, that was fun in its own little way I guess.

Saturday my dad and I went downtown Minneapolis and walked through the stores and such. Then we ate at Chipotle!!! That was delicious, as always. After that, we returned home for a while and then went off to Dakota Premium Foods' Christmas Party. That was pretty fun. I enjoy watching the people mostly, plus its fun to hang out with some of them! My dad won a flashlight thing, while I won a huge "mechanic's tool set" (it is SUPER nice, but like I really know how to use most of it?!?!). It was nice anyhow. I spiral curled my hair, so I snapped a couple of pictures, just to see myself. hahahahaha. They are here:

I think it turned out really nice.
Well, then today my dad and I went bowling at Treasure Island. It is a new alley they put in with the remodeling they did a couple months ago. It is pretty awesome, and we had a ton of fun, even though I couldn't break 100 in any of the 4 games we played!!! Bowling is definitely something I enjoy A LOT but am no good at, just like pool. Oh well.
On a maybe not so fun subject, work is going to be CrAZy this week!!!!! Tomorrow is going to be a long day with a huuuge amount of packages. I am pretty nervous. Another thing I am nervous about is going full time this week! Can't wait for the checks though :).
And Desperate Housewives is now starting so I must go! But enjoy this next picture of my boyfriend and my nephew taken back in July. I really love it!

santa's got a brand new bag

Wow, my blogging seems to be slipping! Haven't posted one in a while, I don't have a good reason, but then again nothing real exciting has happened for me to write about anyway! Nonetheless, here I am now, writing my life away.

Yesterday was Thanksgiving and I really enjoyed it. I LOVE Thanksgiving food! It is so delicious. Plus I loved having a day off from work! That is always appreciated. Too bad they don't make Black Friday a Holiday and give us that too! (Although I never really want to go shopping that day, it should still be a Holiday.) I really would never want to fight those crowds, people are so crazy! It is just NOT worth it to me at all.

On another subject, the weather is still fairly decent for November! No snow anyway! I am glad about that. Lately its been in the 30s, today's high was 40, so that is awesome! I just hate the negatives, those are THE WORST.

Moving along, last weekend was the Iowa vs Minnesota game, and let's just say Iowa KILLED it!! I cannot believe it. (They won 55-0!!!) One thing that was really annoying though, was out on the street people from Iowa were arguing with the scalpers that what they were doing was illegal. It totally isn't here. I just cannot stand when people who don't really know what they are talking about argue or make a statement contrary to what is true. Oh well! Not enough time in the world to go into it, or enough reason to now either.

Well something else I am pretty proud of, is how I learned to cut out snowman shaped snowflakes. I think they look great! They aren't really hard at all actually and are pretty fun! More fun than just regular old cut out snowflakes if you ask me!!

And I think that's enough of my nonsense. Hopefully I will update more often. I get sad when I don't write things down for others to read. Hahaha. Well I don't really get sad, but close. Welp, see ya! :)

don't mind if I do

Friday, November 14th 2008, I chopped my hair off and got a whole new hairdo! So, I figured a picture blog about it would be PERFECT! Enjoy!!

This is me acting normal?
I don't think I was ready for this one, but it turned out pretty.

This is for the side view! (the best side anyway!) haha.
As much as I hate people who take pictures in bathrooms, I just LOVE my shower curtain. I think it makes a good backdrop most of the time.
Anyhow, I think the pictures turned out pretty well, but then you consider the subject matter and it becomes obvious as to why that is the case. hahahahahaha! yeah right. But on a more serious note, I really love my new hairCUTe! I have received a lot of compliments on it. Mainly from the mirror. hahah there I go kidding once again. Really a lot of people, real people, have told me it looks great and they like it. I really love it, so what more can a person ask for? Nothing as far as I am concerned. It was a spur of the moment decision, one I am so happy I made.
On a complete new subject, there is this show on right now about the shooting of JFK and there is a crazy lady talking. She was talking about the day it happened and how she found out. Her statement that got me was when somebody was telling her the name of the killer, they said "Lee Haaaa....." and the lady cuts out, (I thought she was having a seisure or something), but then she says "and I knew the rest." Odd.
I think I have a big nose. Sometimes I feel I do, sometimes I feel I don't. If you think I do, don't be afraid to point it out, because I really want to know if I do or not, in comparison to the general public. Maybe I do, but maybe it fits my face? I don't really know. Oh well. I never got teased about it when I was younger or any other time that I know of, so I guess I probably don't. It gets hit a lot by boxes at FedEx though, so maybe I do. hmmm. The question will go unanswered as of right now.
I think that's enough rambling on for now. Until another day... :)

abrupt

Well I cannot believe it! I just got my hair chopped off today, 6 inches of it! It was a random, spur of the moment decision. I don't regret it one bit (yet) and I totally love it. I am really glad I just went ahead and did it. I feel a lot better.

Other than that, I really enjoyed the country music awards on Wednesday night. Carrie Underwood and all of her beautiful dress looked great, Brad Paisley was hilarious, and all the performances were pretty dang good. Anyhow, it really makes me want to be a country star. I love most of them. They don't seem like the other music genre stars, they just seem like they would be fun people to hang out with and have great conversations with as well. Anyhow, I was reading Taylor Swift's MySpace Blog, I decided its great. I liked reading it, although it made me feel like my blog is so lame. It may or may not be in reality, but I feel that way in comparison to hers.

Another thing I really want to do is write a great song. I just might get down to business on that one, and if I do, it will be posted all over this blog for sure! I don't know, all I can do is try, but I can't make any promises.

Well, I think this one will just end here. :)

cinema

It sure has been awhile, the good news is, there really hasn't been many exciting events that I have not updated you on. Most of my life is pretty boring, I just like to take all of those boring little stories and turn them into some sort of lifechanging story that everyone must hear about. I am fully aware that I do this, and I am sure anyone who has heard me talk or that knows me at all, knows this. Good.

Since we have that covered, I went down to Iowa this past weekend. That was a lot of fun. I got a devil of a deal and a little Coach purse that I just really am in love with now. It really is the simple things in life. haha. Also, I love going to dinner with Sam, so that made for a really good time this weekend. We also went to Cold Stone twice, which is always a delight. I also watched A LOT of movies this weekend. On that note, I will now review them all for you.

First I watched We Own the Night. This movie was really good and I enjoyed it a lot. Its not a typical movie that I would find myself watching, but it was way good. The next one I watched was Dan in Real Life. This movie was alright, but not one of my top faves. I just really didn't like how mean his family seemed to be to him. Also, I expected to laugh a lot more, obviously, since its Steve Carell, my favorite. The next movie I watched was National Treasure 2, I really liked this movie. I also really liked the first one, if you liked the first you will probably like this one as well. I think the lady in those movies (Diane Kruger) is really pretty. So, the next movie was Enchanted. Now this movie, its more for little kids for sure. I thought it was OK, but I wouldn't go out and buy it. It had a couple of funny things about it, a real cute story, and it was nice, but no thanks. Alright, the next movie I watched was Baby Mama. This movie, I LOVED. I thought it was so hilarious in so many ways, I really liked it. The next movie was Drillbit Taylor. I don't know about this movie, it was not the best but it wasn't the total worst. I thought there were a couple of funny parts, but overall it could have been way better. And the final movie I watched was Juno. This movie was very interesting, there were some funny things about it. I liked it, but it wasn't really what I expected out of it. It was also kind of creepy for me, only because the girl in the movie looks a heck of a lot like my younger sister. Sam and I both kept getting freaked out by that throughout the movie. But, I did like that it took place in Minnesota (at least I'm pretty sure it did!).

Well, now you can really see how many stinkin movies I really watched this weekend. I love watching movies. I prefer watching them to just watching tv shows.

On a whole new subject, I really have a sore nose right now. I got hit right in the nose by TWO boxes at work today, now it is throbbing. I hate getting hit in the nose, especially when it causes my eyes to water. Oh well, I am sure I will get over it soon.

I don't really have any other news, except that the Country Music Awards are on tonight and I am probably going full time at FedEx. Both exciting bits of info, last but not least type of news. And until next time....... :)

me me me

So this post, I want to do a fun little thing like an "about me!!!" I hope you love it, just as much as I will love writing it.

My Name is Julie.
I was born in Denver, Colorado.
My Birthday is on January 9th and it's probably my favorite day of the year.
My favorite movie is Walk the Line. But I also love a lot of others that are all tied for a verrry close second. Some of those are: Mean Girls, Meet the Robinsons, Anchorman, all of the Pirates of the Carribbean, and so on.
My favorite actress is definitely Reese Witherspoon. As for actors, I really like Ryan Gosling and Steve Carell.
My favorite television shows are Number one is The Office, Boston Legal and Chelsea Lately are tied at second, and Desperate Housewives is third.
My favorite place to visit is Las Vegas, but one of my favorite vacations was in Hawaii when I was there for about a month.
I have 2 sisters and one brother. One of my sisters is older and married to a Hawaiian named Makaala (he's awesome and hilarious), my brother is older and is going to get married in the upcoming January, and the other sister is 2 years younger than me and has the most adorable little baby boy in the world (well he's tied for that position with Natasha's little Heath bar!!).
Where I have lived (I will do it in a chronological order): Denver Colorado, Souix City Iowa, Columbus Junction Iowa, Garden City Kansas, Brawley California, Ferndale Washington, Inver Grove Heights Minnesota, Tucson Arizona, Iowa City Iowa, and currently I am in Inver Grove Heights Minnesota!
Besides Las Vegas, my favorite city is Minneapolis.
My favorite weather is really sunny, no humidity, about 90 degrees or so. But I do love fall weather to go with the fall hollidays.
I love Bebe clothing, I LOVE shoes, I like purses that are either way small or way big, I love getting dressed up.
A couple of things I cannot live without are number one mascara, chapstick/lip gloss, and hairbrush.
My dream vacation is Fiji I think. I only say I think because thats what its been for the past 5 years or so, and now I am kind of thinking I may be dreaming of something else, but I still want to go to Fiji.
My favorite music is definitely country.
My favorite singers/bands are, number one ALAN JACKSON, then I love Sugarland, Reba McEntire, Taylor Swift, Brad Paisley, Garth Brooks, Big & Rich, among others. I love Jack Johnson. I like most of Elton John's music. I LOVE George Winston. Almost any song that has piano in it is a real hit in my book.
My favorite food I love eating pizza and ice cream. I love a lot of other foods as well, Chipotle is my all time favorite place to eat, well tied with Restaurante Yuma (its a taco stand in Mexico). My dad and I have been to the original Chipotle in Denver and we have also made special trips to Restaurante Yuma when we are within 6 hours of it. hahaha.
I really love to laugh, I will laugh at almost anything, mainly really simple corny things. That is also a good way to explain my jokes, which I think I laugh harder at than anyone I tell them to.
I can talk a heckuva lot! I used to be a really shy kid, but then I just turned into a talking machine. Well when I was a shy kid I talked a whole lot but only to my family. To best visualize it you should probably think of the little girl talking to her dad in the Volvo commercial where she's getting in the backseat of a Volvo SUV. Totally how I was.
I love taking pictures and looking at them. Its one of my favorite random things to do.
And last thing, I think I can almost classify as a work a holic. close.

Well, thats about it. So hopefully you enjoyed reading a little bit of information about me. :) until another posting...

Sunday, November 2, 2008

ok, I just HAVE to note onto my last post, the Rock Band Commercial I was talking about has A-Rod, Kobe Bryant, Michael Phelps, and Tony Hawk. I was way off with Joe Mauer, definitely was my WISHFUL thinking!! :) but I still think its a funny one!

giggle

Alright! Well I probably look lame making a blog late on a Saturday night, but really it doesn't bother me. Halloween was yesterday, I ended up working ALL day! It wasn't bad at all. I love Fridays at work, people tend to be in a better mood and things tend to be more fun. I think I worked a total of 11 hours yesterday. Two 4 hour shifts and one 3 hour shift. Kinda crazy.

On a more fun topic, tonight my dad and I went to our first Timberwolves game of their season. Their season started Wednesday, but we didn't go then. It was fun, I love going to TWolves games, but we lost. They have a new court and new uniforms so that was fun to look at for a while. I just love sporting events, especially baseball and then basketball games, football after that, and hopefully I will actually make it to a Wild game this year. I have only been to a college hockey game one time, so I want to go to an NHL one. We'll see what happens.

Well, Tuesday is the BIG day! I am really up in the air as to who will win the Presidency. I sure don't want it to be Obama. Along the same lines of politics, I have starting reading a book I have had for quite some time, I wish I started it earlier, Amy Coulter's "How to Talk to a Liberal (If You Must)." So far, I love it. When I was going to the University of Arizona, Michael Moore came to campus to do a speech or something, there were a few Republican protestors, just with signs calm and controlled. Well, Ann Coulter then came to talk a short period later (maybe a few weeks), well the dirty democrats who were protesting her, threw pies at her (funny thing they were about 5 feet away or so, and MISSED!). Just goes to show. Another thing that I found comical about the whole thing, it cost $5 to go see Michael Moore, while the Republicans of Tucson funded Ann Coulter's appearance so the students didn't even have to pay to see her! Another reason why the party is the better of the two. For sure.

Onto another subject, hopefully politics and the like didn't strike a bad note, but right now I just saw the most hilarious comercial, big sports stars going crazy on the video game Rock Band. Hilarious! It featured Kobe Bryant, A-Rod, I didn't catch the third, and the fourth may have been Joe Mauer, but I could have been dreaming on that one. What an excellent commercial.

Another funny thing is:

HAHAHAHA. This is most likely the FUNNIEST picture I have seen in a long time. I love love love it!

Well on that high note, I will end things here. :)

Wednesday, October 29, 2008

clip it

Well, this one isn't going to have a lot of substance, but I HAVE to post this video clip. Its one of my favorites, its from The Breakup with Jennifer Aniston/Vince Vaughn. I just love repeating it! Well I can't figure out how to save the video to my computer then post it here, so just go to this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Na70-2wv79A
Hopefully that works and makes a lot of laughs! :)

And that is all! until next time! :)

So, these pictures are for my best friend Natasha. They are from the Republican National Convention that was here in Minnesota. The Protestors were really annoying, but I really like some of the pictures I captured--the dog and the cops to be exact!

ouch

This week seems to be going way too slow already. I want it to be Friday RIGHT NOW. That would be so nice. It would also be Halloween, not that I have anything fun planned yet, but just thought I'd kindly point that out.

So yesterday at work, FedEx work, I kept hurting myself (on accident of course!!). I was hurting a lot. But today I did just fine and seemed to come out alive and no new major injuries, besides the normal bruises. I walked into this hook thing that was sticking out, it hurt really bad, left a bad bruise, but no worries I didn't mind.

The real bad news is how cold the weather was today!! It was like 30 all day, or at least I think it was about that. I really don't want anymore of it! YUCK! The other bad news is how many people support Obama. I do not like that man, no way. I really don't like his supporters, so many of them are such ignorant losers that don't like to bathe. I just don't like them and don't have the time to go into all the many reasons why. I don't necessarily like McCain too much either, but he is the better of the two by many counts. His supporters are way better as well, such a nicer group of people--once again I don't have the time to go into all the many reasons why Republicans rock. hahahahahahaha.

Well something on television is talking about some kind of luau, not sure the details, but I want to throw in the Hawaiian fish name, because I love it. Well really I love the hula dance that goes with the fish's name that was being taught on the whale cruise thing I was on when I was in Hawaii. I may not spell it right, but the fish's name is: humuhumunukunukuapua'a. I think that is pretty darn close to the right spelling. Sound it out! humu, humu, nuku, nuku, apu, ah, ah. Thats you sounding it out, if by chance you were wondering.

So I want a vacation and I want it now! I wish. That would be so nice if I got to go somewhere for a couple weeks, or just have some time off from work. That would be really freaking amazing! But better luck after the x-mas season probably. Who knows!

I am really excited for Nov 20th though! Going to Fogo de Chao. I think that's almost how its spelled. It is a Brazilian restaurant, they have them in Brazil actually, and all over the world, one of them being in Minneapolis!! That's where I will be going. I cannot wait. Anyhow, I will let you know how that goes. It is at least the plan for now.

Now, my real thought: why do Hawaiians love SPAM so much???? Just a question! My brother in law Makaala is a SPAM lover. SPAM is a Minnesota product, Austin, Minnesota to be exact. Crazy.

Welp that's where I leave you young one. Until another good read... :)

current events

Well this week was rather interesting. I had a very tough time waking up all week long, I probably stayed up too late the nights before in some cases, but in others I guess I was just being lazy. Oh well I guess, maybe I will do better next week!

First thing I want to talk about is how one of the saddest days in college basketball was yesterday, the 23rd of October 2008: LUTE OLSON RETIRED. I am sad, well happy for him, but sad for myself. I love Lute, he really is an awesome guy. I think I should throw in a couple of GREAT pictures here so that will justify my "tribute to lute" or "salute to lute." hahahahahaha. I HAD to say those, they made me laugh when I thought of them. Anyhow, here they are:

Well the next topic of discussion is how I am really not enjoying how the weather is turning to cold. I can handle chilly every now and then, but the temperature in Minnesota likes to go into way too freezing cold for me! It will probably be about 10 degrees in about one more month, I sure hope not. What I am also hoping is that the snow will hold off for a long time. I give the weather permission to snow on December 24th and then melt on December 26th and turn into 70 degrees by January 8th (the King, Elvis Presley's, Birthday!). Yes, I know what you are thinking, and it's true, MY birthday is one day after Elvis'!!!! We are pretty awesome in that way.
That is a nice lead into how I want to go to Las Vegas just for Sir Elton John's Red Piano show/event. Last year when I was there they were setting it up and doing the advertising, I was way excited. I am really just a feaux(sp) Sir Elton John fan, you've got to be just because of how ridiculous he is. You just cannot NOT love ridiculous. The reason I am a faux(sp) Elvis fan, is just for that small fact I previously shared, the birthday thing. Its also ridiculous, and if you know me, you know ridiculous (or that I love ridiculous and saying ridiculous things). I like good laughs, that cannot be a crime.
Well on that note, I think I should go to bed, so I can wake up for work tomorrow (probably late again but I sure hope not!). It's only a "half day" at work tomorrow, I don't mind going in on Saturdays just because its not really tough work, they have breakfast or lunch catered in and sometimes it can be verrry delicious. Besides, I haven't worked a Saturday in a long time, probably a good month and a half or so. Anyhow, hopefully this has been an enjoyable read, and I have one more thing to finish off with...... :)
So my best friend Natasha, wanted to see what I am looking like lately, since we haven't seen each other in person in waaayyy too long! Therefore I am posting a couple of pictures of myself, well just one really, but in two different ways. The first one is just the normal picture with no editing effects, the second was edited at my newest FAVORITE website picnik.com. It is a way awesome website that you can do MANY cool things with your pictures. I was just trying out random things with this photo that I am posting, but I am sure better pieces of work will come along eventually, but I am way excited to use picnik in my scrapbooking endeavors. I LOVE it is the bottom line!!!! :)

memory lane

ANOTHER PICTURE BLOG!!! get ready, some pictures are older, some newer kind of I guess. :)

This first one was from this past May. My friend Jessica and I at her dad's place in Minneapolis. This was one FUNNN night!!!! (in my red high heels! LOVE THEM)
This one I probably posted before, but how can you not laugh EVERY time you see it. My friends Melissa & Justin had Herky come to their wedding. This is one of her favorite pictures from the event, but then again, how could it not be?!

This is me, at Jimmy Johns in Iowa City, a long time ago. Apparently I was way excited for a sandwich!!! OR maybe I am just freaking because they are so fast?! Thats probably it!!

This is me, getting a strike obviously. HAHAH Probably not actually, I think I am THE worst bowler I know. But too bad my big body is blocking whatever I am cheering about. hahaha.

This is from my 21st birthday. This is Amanda and I, we were born about 5 mins apart or so. We had our 21st party together. It was a real blast!!! And about 10 degrees outside, even better for the walk home. :)

This is an old one of my roommates from my jr yr of college. They are Justin and Melissa, we were at a wedding, taking a roommate picture, ha ha.

This is me, out in Iowa City one night with my blond hair. HAHAHAHAHA I am kidding. Its Kristen Cavalleri from Laguna Beach, I wanted my hair cut like this a while back and just HAD to try and fool people. I am so sure you all were fooled!

This is way old of one of my best friends Morgan and I. These are our normal faces, seriously. HAHAHA just kidding! I don't remember who I was on the phone with, but apparently we wanted to take a silly picture while I was chatting along. We were in Eau Claire, Wisconsin for this. Yet another FUN night!
Well that is probably enough pictures for now! Hopefully some of them were pretty exciting, although I doubt it. I love taking pictures and I love looking at pictures. Other than that I will try congering up some real good stories for tomorrow's blog, or whenever my next one is. Until then! :)

"but my lips hurt real bad"

Well it is just about time for me to hop into bed, but I figured I might as well write a little blog first.
First of all, the main issue of today is my bottom lip. When I went tanning I had a lot of things to hold so I stuck the tanning sticker in my lips to hold for a few moments. Well there must have been some real good glue or something that stuck to my lip, because when I pulled it off my lip it pulled some skin off, and it HURT! I couldn't believe it. I do not know how it happened or why, but it did and ever since that moment it has been bothering me.
Other than that fun, I don't have much to write about I guess. I was going to do some scrapbooking tonight, but I don't really have any copies of the pictures I want to use to scrapbook as this time. I had a few pictures from the Jack Johnson concert I went to a couple of years ago, but I didn't feel like doing those ones this evening. So, basically I need to get a whole bunch of my digital pictures printed out. I really love scrapbooking and I especially LOVE my scrapbook. It is pretty awesome, full of great pics, fun times, fun people, pretty layouts, sweet colors, all in all, awesome EVERYTHING. I mean, OBVIOUSLY. Why wouldn't it?!
On another subject, I really really REALLY want to do something to change my hair. I am not so sure what I want to do yet though. I am getting more and more antsy. I need to figure out exactly what I want to do and just go get it done. Sometimes I get really picky about hair, but that only causes problems so I try to be quite open minded and adventurous when I can.
Moving along, I am way exciting for, first of all Thursday night's episode of The Office, I get so impatient with that. But I am wayyy excited for Desperate Housewives on Sunday, and Boston Legal on Monday! I am way excited for those 2 shows because on Housewives they are doing a flashback sort of episode revealing secrets that happened in the past 5 years (between seasons they jumped 5 years ahead in the lives of the characters). Then, I am super excited for Boston Legal next Monday, because tonight's episode was good of course, but the preview at the end showed Alan Shore and Denny Crane (2 of the characters...James Spader & William Shatner play them), going to a dude ranch! Oh I cannot wait. If you don't watch either of those shows, this portion of the blog was probably verrrrry boring and very confusing. Oh well! :)
Furthermore, on the subject of tv shows, I really love Chelsea Lately. Chelsea Handler is quite hilarious! I have been watching it a lot lately and it really makes me laugh. Conan O'Brien also makes me laugh a lot. Basically I like shows and people that make me laugh, if you haven't noticed or weren't already aware.
Well since I cannot stop talking about tv, I should probably just cut out of this one tonight and pick up on some new topics later! But I must throw in that I hope the Tampa Bay Rays will win the World Series. Either team are fine with me I guess, but I think they deserve it (not that its fair to say any certain team really deserves something, but I kind of feel they do). Well, until another day! :)

corrections

Alright!! So it has been one whole week since I have written anything. That is pretty LAME of me, so I will try to never let it happen again (but you're never supposed to say never!). So my lips are chapping, that is way annoying and I should really put on some chapstick, that'd be grrreat.

Well, my trip down to Ames, IA was pretty fun. I enjoyed going to Hobby Lobby once again, I just love that place. I really wish I had one by my house, the closest one: Rochester, MN. That is like an hour away, not close enough in other words! So I also enjoyed baking some Halloween sugar cookies. They were quite delicious, as well as decorated very nicely! hahaha.

Now on to something extremely important: The Office was HILARIOUS tonight!! I loved it, once again. It seriously just never gets my hopes up, I ALWAYS anticipate greatness, and they ALWAYS deliver greatness!! That is amazing when things work that way.

Anyhow, other events this week that are worth talking about I guess. At work, the guy I cannot stand has been extra annoying to me. He really is an ignorant jerk, really. When I took some of those delicious Halloween sugar cookies that were mentioned earlier, he came in to work after I did, I hadn't even seen him, and he decides to call someone at the other office and tell them that I didn't share a cookie with him. Boy that was irritating, considering I hadn't even seen him yet that morning. I think he is stuck in some delusional world, because half the time the way he acts and the things he says are just so abnormal. I shouldn't let it get to me, most of the time I am able to brush it off, but not always.

Well, moving along, I have been tanning for the last few weeks now and I must say I am just loving it! Sometimes I get worried about what is going to happen to my skin and all the bad things tanning does, but it doesn't seem to stop me from going and loving it. That is kind of bad, but I guess there isn't much I am going to do about it. It is ironic that I think people look way healthier when they are tan, it really is NOT healthier, but it does LOOK that way. Another thing that I find quite ironic is how people in USA have tanning salons and are always trying to get darker, but I am told in India and Asian countries they have skin lighteners and such to try to get lighter skin. It is kind of similar to just wanting curly hair if your hair is straight and wanting straight hair if your hair is curly. I guess humans just really do want what they can't have. Perhaps.

Onto another subject, I really like grammar and writing styles. One thing that annoys me is when people type a message or whatever and make mistakes or typos that are SO obvious and they don't fix them. I know we all make errors sometimes, but it drives me nuts. There are a couple people I know that seriously have a typo in every single thing they type, they never take the time to fix it. Are they just stupid and don't know that they have made an error? Or are they just trying to be extra annoying? Its probably something simple that I shouldn't let bother me, but honestly I always use backspace, in my last typing test I used it multiple times and still had an 83 words per minute rate. So surely it really doesn't take too much time to fix these things, and really this is probably a minor error that when constantly repeated is the cause of our economic troubles. People just don't care enough. hahahaha, well I am obviously kidding about it being a reason for our economy, but I do think it says a lot about the person who doesn't correct those errors.

Well I definitely think this was a productive rant, maybe it was and maybe it wasn't! I need to take more pictures!! I have been dying because I haven't been using my camera enough. I used to take more pictures than some people could ever imagine, well anybody could imagine the amount really, but I am just saying I did take quite a few pictures. I need one of all the pretty fall leaf colors that are out right now. It is just way too beautiful to not capture. We'll see. So thats enough, until another day! :)

work work

Well I figured I had better update this, since I am going to be gone again this weekend and I wouldn't want to deprive anyone from reading my thoughts. hahahaha. I know its really not that serious, but anyhow an update is what ya get!

To start things off, I felt like I wasn't working very well at FedEx today. I don't know why I felt this way, the walls I was building just didn't seem to me to be very good walls. But one of my managers told me they were just fine, so aparently I am just my own worst enemy. Well maybe it doesn't need to be in such a rough term, but you get the idea.

So The Office was on tonight. My all-time favorite show ever. It was pretty good tonight. I really love that Jim Halpert, he's just great. Quite cute I might also add. Now there is a special SNL on I guess. I find this to be kind of odd, but will probably bring some laughs. We'll just see.

Now for the big news, I am going down to Ames, IA this weekend. I'm leaving tomorrow after work and I really cannot wait! I am way way wayyy excited for this weekend. I am going down to see my friend Melissa (and her husband, but NOT the cat named Chasey, definitely NOT!!). hahaha. Well we have so many fun things planned already I just cannot wait to get there and go do them all! It will be awesome. Hopefully a lot of fun pictures will follow!

Well my lips are getting chapped. I do not like chapped lips at all, probably because I am so in love with Chipotle and it burns when you eat that while having chapped lips!! Such a traumatizing thing, but Chipotle is way too good to give up for that! Obviously.

And I think that is all I am going to rant about tonight. Hopefully fun blogs will come next week, just look forward to that is all I ask. Until then! :)

hobbying

It has been awhile! Well I made a trip down to I-O-W-A this weekend and also got a little touch of the flu. So lots of fun and then lots of not so fun! But I am no longer sick and back on track I guess, as far as blogs go.

First of all, I am right now watching the Presidential Debate and so far, I feel it has been rather ridiculous. I don't understand why the two candidates just continue saying "he did this, he did that" and then when that guy responds they just say "I didn't do this, but he did that and he did this." It is rather hard to tell who really did what and where they are coming up with it and how to believe one word or the other. McCain does seem to have more factual evidence against Obama through use of what he voted for or didn't vote for and what he has spent or not spent money on. All in all, Obama is probably the worst choice for President I could probably think of. :)

So, on to other things. Iowa was a lot of fun. The drive is never the fun part though. I really do not like driving the four hours it takes, it is so boring and I do not do ANY speeding along the way so sometimes it gets really annoying. Although, when I was down there in February was probably the most annoying drive of all, it took me 7.5 hours to get home, snow and ice under the snow made it really difficult to go very fast at all. I was mainly worried about the other cars on the road, some of them were driving TERRIBLY. One good idea when the conditions are that way, do NOT sit on the brake!!!

Well among other things, I stopped at Hobby Lobby. It is a great store with lots of great things in it! Whenever I need to decorate a house or apartment or whatever, I will most likely stop there for good things. They sell their stuff at really cheap prices too. That is probably the best part. Anyhow, I love their scrapbooking section, they have a huge one and its cheap and great. But something else I got this weekend, was a painting kit. Its of a sunset with palm trees. I have been working on that this evening, so far I'm not too sure I am liking how its turning out, but I think once I finish it, it will be AWESOME. At least I am hoping! :)

And I think I will end things there because this has really been a lot of random talking about nothing, plus I could really use a shower right about now. So until other days.... :)

picture day

So today I have decided to do another blog full of pictures!! Most of them I took, but a few of them I found and loved. So hopefully you can enjoy! :)

This is me with some cows. I love cows. This was taken last summer at my friend Melissa's parents' house.

This picture I found on the internet. I just like it, and it is now the background of my computer :)

I took this picture of Minneapolis last summer, I had to do a powerpoint for a class and this is one of the pictures I took for it. I really love this picture, Minneapolis is such a beautiful citay!

I also took this one for the class powerpoint. I love the cherry spoon, such a great sight. I love love love it!

This is my nephew Jeff. My sister sent me this picture on my cell phone when he was just a month or two old. He is so cute when he does this pouty lip. I saw him do it twice or maybe 3 times and it just gets me every time!

This is me and one of my all time heroes...LUTE OLSON!!! I LOOOOVE him! A lot!! He's awesome. He loved me just as much, well maybe just very close! He's such a nice guy!!

and this one I found, I love it!!! and I think it really speaks for itself. laugh it up! :)
and that is all. :)

let down

Today, the Twins ruined my whole year. hahaha so it's really not THAT bad, but it is pretty close. Losing to the White Sox, although it was a good game, just wasn't what they were supposed to do. Now I have to buy Karl 3 lunches!!!!!! He better enjoy them is all I have to say! hahahaha. Well not to sound like a Cubby fan but "maybe next years our year." hahahahaha (They really all say that, usually starting in about June, prior to June they repeat over and over "this year is our year, this year is our year.") hahahhahaha hilarious.

Well other than that I had a pretty good day. Switch-a-roo of the managers at FedEx though, not a bad thing. Just went from having one manager I liked to having another manager that seems cool and likeable as well. So no big deal really, same thing mostly.

At my other job though, it was pretty boring. I was in the "other office" this morning, doing work that is pretty boring I must say. I don't mind really, its just about like everything else I do there. Stuff nobody else really wants to do. It really doesn't bother me, I like doing a variety of things so its just something else.

Other than that, I'm thinking of chopping my hair. Maybe taking like 6 inches off or so. That would make it to brushing my shoulders length I think. I am contemplating it. hmmmm. We'll see.

And the best news of today, most likely, is when I found a quarter in the parking lot on my way to work at FedEx. That's always sweet. Just think of it my way, its like 25 times better than finding a penny!! Or like finding half a Twins ticket, if you're lucky like me and get a ticket for 50 cents!!!

Well other than that, I think I am going to wrap this up right here right now. Keep waiting for a good one! :)

Monday, September 29, 2008

boring.

On television right now are these tiny jelly beans called "Teeny Beenies" that are made by the same company as Peeps (personal fave!) and I really want to try them. They look pretty delicious. I do love jelly beans so I can only guess I would love the teeny beany ones.

But on to other things, today was a pretty neutral day. I thought it was going to be really rough, mainly because its Monday, I tend to hate Mondays, but it really wasn't bad afterall. I just am starting to feel like one of Santa's elves, or maybe Santa due to my size, because of the rush starting to pick up at FedEx. hahaha. But seriously. At my other job it was not too exciting, but just an easy day of small tasks. I liked it.

What I really must say, is how yesterday I went to the Twins last regular season home game of the season and I paid only FIFTY CENTS for my ticket!!! It was pretty awesome. The guy at the ticket booth wouldn't stop laughing. Oh well, I thought it was freaking awesome! Well they won. But in other Twins news, they have to play a tie-breaking game vs the White Sox tomorrow in Chicago to determine the AL Central Division Champions. IT BETTER BE THE TWINS. That's all I have to say!! hahahaha.

Well I hope some exciting things come up tomorrow. But I also hope its a manageable and fun day again. :)

shadow

Yet another day has gone by. hahaha I think that is a silly way to start this, but I just did it. Anyhow, it was an alright day. I almost got in trouble at FedEx I guess. I was not happy about that and it made the rest of my shift go pretty badly. Dang it. It just upset me and irritated me. Oh well, better luck tomorrow!

So the Twins are playing right now, they are losing at the moment, but I have a feeling they will turn things around and will pull out the win. They are pretty magical and they can totally do it. Especially since one of my very favorite friends Morgan is there working her magic on the team. Hahahahaha. But seriously she is.

The highlight of my day really, well two top things, was the new season of The Office started tonight!! I just cannot get enough of that show, it is really the only show I follow through every episode, have to watch it EVERY week. Well anyhow, it was a hilarious one, of course! I loved it. And the other thing that was the highlight of today, I had Granny Donuts for breakfast!!! I love them soooo much. I shared them with people I work with, they all love them and loved me for bringing them! So that was so stinkin nice! :)

Well, I just feel like mentioning what my two top all-time favorite songs EVER are. They are kind of rare favorites I think, most people probably would never put the two of them together, but I love them both! I like them for different reasons too. Well, they are: Garth Brooks' "Rodeo" and AC/DC's "You Shook Me All Night Long." hahahahaha. I LOVE THEM. And now you know.

Another thing I have been thinking about a lot lately, I really want to write a song. I think that would be super hard to do for some reason. But if I write a good one and it got published then on the radio, or however the system works, I would be soooo happy!! That and I have always wanted to write a book. Both sound hard to me, but would be worth it if I ever got them done and got them somewhere in this big bad world! hahaha.

I love to laugh. But on another subject, I am really looking forward to this weekend! Should be a good one!!! And that is all. Until next time around.... :)

and here is a pretty little picture for you to enjoy......

make the catch

Today was a pretty boring day. Not that I am complaining!! I had an enjoyable day overall in fact, neither jobs were too stressful, nothing crazy happened, it was just fine. So I think I am going to make this blog into things I like and things I do not like! Hopefully I will think of many good ones!! :)

I really like baseball, more specifically Twins Baseball.
I Do not like coooooold cooooold freeeeezing cold winter days!!
I like ice cream a whole lot, especially cold stone cake batter and in general Rocky Road!
I do not like people who have loud cell phone rings when in public.
I like deviled eggs A LOT.
I do not like waking up early.
I loooooooooove mustard, its my favorite condiment for sure.
I do not like food that tastes bad, especially on hot days.
I like Haupia Cake and other Hawaiian foods.
I do not like dishonest people.
I love my newest perfume, Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue, its the GREATEST.
I do not like Pachouli Oil and other smells that are bad.
I like working with people who are hard workers.
I do not like working with people who are lazy or make you work extra hard to pick up their slack.
I like making people laugh, but I am aware sometimes I am just not funny.
I do not like people who THINK they are funny, but aren't.
I like Porsche Cayennes more than any other car on the road.
I do not like living too far away from shopping stores, or in Kansas.
I like the ocean and beaches.
I do not like the Yankees, Red Sox, Cubs, or other teams with fake fans.
I love Iowa City for many reasons.
I do not like a couple of things about Iowa City.
I like getting pretty or dudded up sometimes.

I love eating bread, cookies, hot dogs.
I do not like people who are way bossy.
I love get togethers and special events and other related activities.
I do not like Iowa Police, or very many police for that matter.
I like fall a lot, more specifically the smell of fall. I think I just like season changes.
I do not like when a scorpion is on my shoe, scary.
I like daydreaming and vocal dreaming.
I do not like when people do not believe in anything or have any sort of passion.
I like to knit.
I do not like how long it takes to knit a blanket.
I love my nephew Jeff, he's the cutest baby boy.
I do not like bad mothers.
I like being very silly.
I do not like when people are always too serious.
I really like pictures, being in pictures, taking pictures, looking at pictures, and so on.
I do not like smelly people or ignorant democrats (most of the time they are one in the same).
I really really love music, mainly country music, but just about any music is awesome.

And I think that is enough! Hopefully you have loved finding out a few things I like and don't like. It would take too long for me to explain everything, but I could do that. Most of my points are valid, I have reasons for why I like and don't like things, I do a lot of thinking before I decide on anything. Really I am an analytical person, sometimes that sucks, but most of the time its very good! Welp until next time!! :)

down 6

Today started out quite slow. I did not want to wake up this morning, I did not want to go to work, I did not want to do anything in fact! But once I got going, I guess it wasn't that bad at all. I had a pretty good and productive day at both of my jobs!

At Dakota Premium I am working on a big project, huge actually, I am updating all the MSDS books. They are rusty and old and gross, but they will look gorgeous by the time I am done with them. Might take a lot of time though, we will see!

Then I was still feeling a little tired and slow while on my way to FedEx. Neither of those are what you want to be when going in to work there. It is not part of the PURPLE PROMISE. hahaha. So anyhow, to fix this problem, I stopped and got a big Red Bull and drank it as fast as I could. It was delicious and it sure proved to do the trick. I had a good day at FedEx and never felt too overwhelmed or stressed. It was nice.

Towards the end of the shift at FedEx, it began to rain. It really poured. So, that made for a bad traffic flow on my way home, but I made it through. I stopped and went tanning, that was relaxing, but I do think I better take tomorrow off from it. After I got home, I made some deviled eggs that were DELICIOUS! And that brings us to now, I am watching the Twins really play like they want the win! Its surprising, they haven't been playing to win as of late, but tonight its really showing! They will hopefully take all three games of the series and end up in the post-season. I sure wish that. We'll see.

And I think that is the perfect place to conclude, maybe another load of pictures will be delivered within the next couple. I love doing those. Keep your fingers crossed for that! :)

picture blog!!

So this is a blog full of PICTURES!!!! Some of my favorites, some from awhile back and some from more recent times! So hopefully you will ENJOY!!! :)This is what my friend Natasha calls "a totally Julie LaMarr type of picture" hahahahaha. she is right, it sums me up. haha.
This is one taken in Denver Colorado last December. I made my dad take it (even though i had no makeup on!) just because the color of the decorations on the tree.

My friend Melissa and I had a wild day on the lake and playing with the cows at her parents house; Summer 2007.

The one to the right is my friend Johanna and I last May when she came up for a Twins game. We had a TON of FUN this night!!

I LOVE mascots!!! This is Crunch and I on St Patricks Day 2008. Oh what fun!!!

The one to the right is of me, Johanna, and my former boss (in that order). It was taken last February during the CSS (where I used to work, dept of the UI Hospital) Bar Crawl. That was fun, then freezing rain came down, made for an interesting walk back to Johanna's later that night, then I was stranded in Iowa City for an extra night, definitely not a bad thing!!!

The picture below is of me in November 2006, at a MN Timberwolves game. I won the chance to go down on the court and play a game called "Crunch or No Crunch." It was SOOOO much fun! I ended up winning a $100 speaker set for ipod/mp3/cell phone, and a $100 gift card to Verizon. Plus that huge shirt that I am wearing in the shirt, and of course, the memories. hahaha.

The next picture was taken this past July (2008). I am kind of looking torn up, I had just got out of the shower. But it was one of the last days that my younger sister, Kristina, and her baby boy, Jeff, were up here in Minnesota. I had such a blast while they were here, I love my nephew, he is a good baby and quite funny. We had a good time.

This next one is, from Left to Right: Abby, Me, Johanna, and Annie. We went out one night in April 2007 and had a great time. It was really random and crazy, but turned out being a very fun and memorable night. Those girls are so fun! I think it was also my first time to the bar The Summit (in Iowa City), it definitely doesn't make my top Iowa City bar list, but then if you know the Iowa City bar scene you understand completely why I say that. There are so many others to love, so many others that are way more fun, and so many others with a better crowd in them! anyway...

And this last one, it is kind of silly. I was wearing my huge Ugg coat to class on a verrrry cold day a couple years ago and decided I should probably take a fun picture with my scarf and sunglasses, just killing time. Its not something I usually do, but of course look at the results! hahahaha im kidding!! "I don't want no trouble" (Thats what I think the title of this picture is most accurately called).
*Well that is all I have for now!! Hopefully ya love it! :)

delicious

Another weekend comes to a close. Dang, just when you get used to them, it is time for them to be over. I hate that. Mondays are usually the worst too. I like Fridays a lot, and Saturdays. But OH WELL.

So, Friday at work was out of control, at both jobs. At Dakota Premium, the phones were ringing off the hook, so many people were busy doing so many things, it was nuts. But not for me so much as everyone else. Then when I got to FedEx, we were short on people and we were getting dumped on. A lot of packages, but we made it through. I am sure I will be begging for a day like that when Christmas package times roll around, YIKES. hehehe.

Saturday was a lot of fun. I went into work for a little while, served some lunch to people. I was doing the jello and the cake, how nice of me. It was simple, but very sweaty. After work my dad and I headed up to Brainerd, MN. It was kind of a dead town, but very nice, the lake fronts up there are beautiful. I had an enjoyable time.

Today was awesome, for a couple of reasons. First of all, I FINALLY went and signed up for some tanning!! Wooo!!! That really made me happy. It will be great, I am pretty excited about it, and the place I go is pretty awesome. After that watched a little tv, caught up with my friend Melissa on the phone, and then my dad and I went to Outback Steakhouse for a nice lunch. It was pretty delicious. After that I had to take a nice nap! That was great.

Overall a pretty relaxing and easy-going weekend I guess. I like weekends like that sometimes. Other times I like being on the go and doing fun and wild things all weekend long though. Next weekend should be pretty fun. I think we will be catching one of the final games of the baseball season (unless Twins go to playoffs, don't laugh too hard right now), if we can, and then a nice fun party at the plant manager of Dakota Premium. It will be a good time!

Well I think I am going to plan my Monday to work in a lunch at, my favorite, Chipotle! It will be awesome, very delicious. I love Chipotle so much. I even went to the original Chipotle, located in Denver, CO on Colfax Ave. I have a picture of it, just like every Chipotle supposedly has a picture of that Chipotle. The Mall of America did not appear to have one of it though, so I label that as a feaux-Chipotle, but maybe they just hadn't got around to hanging it yet. At least that is what I hope!!

And I think this post is long enough! I hope a lot of exciting things happen this week, but no pants ripping at work I hope.

history

Tough day today! I was tired when I woke up, odd. I think I have been getting way too much sleep now, rather than not enough. Funny how the tables turn like that.

So today was not too hard after all I guess, it was at FedEx though. I was in a truck that was going to Montana and that sort of area (WA, OR, ID) AND it got so busy! I worked my tail off. That's what made today hard. But I made it through. Also, I had Cold Stone for dinner. What a way to top off the day! I enjoyed more than any normal person ever should have, hahaha.

Anyhow, only ONE more week until NEW EPISODES OF THE OFFICE!!!! I cannot even wait, its going to be great. It is obviously the greatest show on television, seriously. I laugh out loud every single episode, that is how great it is.

So fun stories for today.... Well this guy I saw at FedEx was wearing this t-shirt that I love, I have been dying to find where to buy one. What is so cool about it, is on the back it says: "you bet your spam I'm a gophers fan." HAAHAHA. What gets better than that?!? I think only Cold Stone dinner can. hahaha.

The next fun story is how I saw a Porsche Cayenne driving down the road on my way home from work today. That was awesome. Only because it is my ultimate dream car. I will own one someday, do or die. Sounds pretty serious right?? Well it is!!! When you sit in one, you will then understand, because it really fit me like a glove and was a great experience, which means any other cool person would experience the same thing. Obviously.

On with more fun stories, I have probably 37 bruises on my legs from working so hard. It is that tough of job. Things fall on my legs all the time I guess. I don't really know, but that is what I would assume. I don't tend to realize them when they happen, I just notice them later. Which, brings me to another point, I have got to get on to the tanning thing!! That will make them less noticeable perhaps. Either way I will look better, I can seriously use all the help I can get. Hahahah.

Well probably the most fun story of the day, I went on the new 35W bridge!!! It is so new, that today is the day it opened. Think of how lucky I am to be able to say I was on the bridge the day it opened! Pretty dang lucky I guess. Well I tend to think so, I liked it, although-yes it was a little frightening just because. Hahahahah. Well not really, but I like saying it. Ironic thing is, I know a girl who had 2 family members die in the collapse of that bridge last year. Spooky. She is one of the nicest girls I have ever met, she also has a cute little baby boy.

I am thinking I need to do something fun with my hair. I have no idea for sure what I want to do, but certainly I want to do something. I still love the dark brown thing I've got going on right now though, I just need to add some zest to it or something.

Welp, I think I have given enough to think about, to entertain, and to create laughs. So that is all. Go west young man. :)

sore knuckles

Well fairly boring day today. I was getting sick of boxes of fake snow at FedEx. Other than that I am very tired today. I keep thinking it is Tuesday, then I realize it's already Wednesday and get verrrry happy! Who knows what this weekend will bring but as usual I am looking forward to it!

I don't have any really good stories for today. Dang. Twins are in a tie game right now. They haven't been doing a lot of winning lately, that angers me. But I know they will come around, I just know it!!

Well that's all I've really got to say for now. Hopefully tomorrow will bring a lot of fun and exciting stories!!!! Until then.....

smile pretty

Today I have decided I should try and only say nice things. Since yesterday's post did contain quite a bit of bashing on a certain someone.

Well once again, my fingers/hands are quite sore (from working). They just get so tired! They also swell up just a little bit, but its okay. What is the funny story from work today is how my pants got a HUGE split in them!!!! I couldn't believe it! Anyone could have totally seen my huhot if they wanted to! Except, lucky for me, I had a jacket so I was able to tie it around my waist to make sure everything was covered. Also, the split occurred towards the end of work so I didn't have too long left to hide my junk. hehehehe. Unbelievable!

For those of you who don't know, today is Mexico's Indepence day. Yes the 16th of September. Amazing isn't it. Just thought I'd through that in there for fun facts. I personally love fun facts, of all sorts. Just like Lou Gehrig is the Yankee's all-time leader in triples. Crazy. How great for him though!!

On to other news, I just got done eating dinner. I had cream of potato soup. It was okay, not going to be one of my absolute favorites, but it was fairly enjoyable. It was my first time trying it as well.

Well other good news, I saw a brand new Malibu as my dad and I were driving home from the grocery store. I love those cars. They are my in my top 3 now of my favorite cars. The brand new ones. Interesting information to throw out there, but oh what you feel like you would be missing if you didn't know. Hahahahaha.

I can't really think of anything else that would be very interesting to discuss. Kind of odd that I say that now, seeing that everything else I have written thus far isn't very interesting. Whatever! Still good topics for discussion anytime right!?! I sure hope so.

And with that I think I should leave a picture with a few comments about it, then go. Until next time... :)

So this is a photo from a LOOOONG time ago, but its is one I really LOVE! It is of one of my best friends, Morgan, and myself. It was a fun night and I can remember a lot of things about it. Oh sometimes I just miss those nights, along with college in general, but there are plenty of other fun things to do now I guess! Hopefully you love this picture too.
