let it ride

Holiday season is officially OVER. What a sad, sad, sad statement! I love the Holiday season and I love the way it makes the majority of people more cheerful and light of heart. I wish those attitudes and outlooks lasted longer throughout the year. Overall, I had a very enjoyable set of Holidays and especially enjoyed the time spent with my sweet boyfriend.

I still have some photogs of the Martina McBride and Trace Adkins concert I attended back in November. However, I will be attending the Brad Paisley and Miranda Lambert concert next weekend so I think I will save all the concert photogs for one concert filled posting!

So, Christmas was especially wonderful this year. I got my boyfriend the perfect gift and he was so happy with it! I love making people feel happy. I also got the greatest gift ever from him! The most beautiful necklace which I love love LOVE!! It is of a turtle with a heart shaped blue opal on it's back. So pretty. Such a thoughtful boyfriend.
After Christmas I had to attend the funeral of my Grandmother Helen LaMarr. She was such an awesome lady. I really look up to her and cannot believe how strong of a lady she was, even through her alzheimers the past 10 or more years. I just know she is happy and with the love of her life up in heaven now and no longer has to be trapped in a body and mind that were shutting down.

My Grandpa's headstone, also where my Grandmother is buried, her name will go on back. Ft Logan, CO.

Then came New Years! I had a pretty low-key New Years celebration, but enjoyed it thoroughly! My dad and I drove home from Colorado all New Year's Eve, got back to Minnesnowta at around 5 in the evening. Then my boyfriend Tobias came over, we had a nice dinner at our favorite: Chipotle! We watched one of the worst movies and then watched some other things. We had fun closing out 2009 together.

Well, after New Years, everybody knows the last Holiday of the season is MY BIRTHDAY!! It was yesterday (Jan 9). I had such an amazing "Best Day of the Year!!!" My boyfriend got me the best card I've ever seen. We went bowling with my dad, which was a blast! We also went to the Mall of America and I actually went on a couple of the rides there for the first time ever. We bought a lego kit at LegoLand and put that together later. It was way way wayyy fun!!! Nothing is better than spending time with people you love.

All in all, I am pretty happy with how life is right now! You just have to learn to take the good with the bad, roll through the punches, and don't ever forget you have to make the decision yourself to be happy.

Well, until another day! :)
