format

Music. I love music. I listen to as much music throughout the day as possible and as many kinds as possible. Country is my music of choice though, it is my overall favorite. I am very open to other genres though. There have been a few songs lately that I just can't wait to hear them come on the radio, some of them I am surprised at myself for even liking. Some of these songs include: "Feel That Fire" by Dierks Bentley, "Whatever You Like" by TI, "Womanizer" by Britney, "More Like Her" by Miranda Lambert, and so on (there are really so many that you would probably go nuts if I listed them all!). Along with all of this, I try and sing as many songs while I am working at FedEx as possible, but I will only do it if I am in a trailor alone or with a select few individuals. Just a little interesting bit for you to think about.

Seeing. I enjoy being able to see. Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to be blind, I cannot even imagine it. It is so hard for me to comprehend how I would think and feel about the world if I didn't have my eyesight. Although my eyesight is pretty terrible on its own, I get to wear glasses and contacts and can still see. Another thing I have wondered from time to time is what the Indians or other early beings that didn't have technologies that we do worlds were like. They didn't have glasses or contacts (at least that I am aware), so how crappy would that be?! I can stand being without my contacts/glasses for about 30 seconds then I am driven nuts and start feeling aggravated. It is such an interesting thing to me.

Hair. I am still loving my hair being so short. I really need to go get it trimmed soon though. I also would like to get highlights or something fun done to it as well. I love getting two colors put in, but not two wild colors, just two normal colors. It will happen sooner or later and then of course, I will have to post pictures of it!

Sports. I absolutely love sports and more importantly, observing them in person. It has been a couple of weeks since I went to a Timberwolves game and I really wish I was at the game they are playing RIGHT NOW (vs. the Spurs). I wonder if Eva the Diva is there tonight? I went to see the Twolves vs. Spurs earlier this year, I must say Tony Parker was out of control!! He was making me so mad, he just would not miss a shot! There was only one guy on our team who could halfway defend him (and he only did about the last 4 minutes, and the TWO overtimes!), that is (my favorite) Corey Brewer. Another thing along the line of sports, is baseball. I miss baseball season. The four or so months that it isn't around really make me feel like the world has stopped. hahaha. I LOVE baseball. It is one of the greatest things that is on this earth. That and hot dogs, how fitting it is that they go so hand-in-hand! Perfect.

Later. I will be talking later. Enjoy. :)

work it work it

You can usually tell a lot about a person by the movies they like. I was thinking about this today, I don't really know why, but then I thought about my top 3 movies and wondered what they say about me. I think the movies I like would be pretty easy to analyze, the ones I have as my top 3 are Walk the Line, The Patriot, & Meet the Robinsons. I LOVE those three movies and most people would probably say I like history, a little romance, good wholesome story lines, etc etc. I am not so sure if there is much to take from all of this, but it is just what I was thinking about this afternoon.

Onto another subject, I have been having so much fun at FedEx the last couple weeks, moreso on the "twilight" shift, rather than day shift. I feel the people make it a really fun experience and we all get along so well it is a blast. Yesterday and this evening I laughed so hard, my abs are really sore, I haven't laughed that hard in such a looong time. It reminds me of the first time I got to go to a sporting event after having been quarentined with tuberculosis. My best friend Natasha and I, along with our friend Steve laughed so hard, I remember hurting so bad in the abdominals. I just love that feeling, LOVE IT.

Moving along to something random, I was also thinking about spoonerisms today at work. I talk in spoonerisms so dang much. Maybe even more than anybody else I have ever met. I always am curious as to why that happens, or what makes some talk in spoonerisms more than others? In case you don't know what a spoonerism is (which I bet you know for sure what it is, you just may not know the term that is dubbed on it), it is when you switch letters of words when you are talking, for example "lapped chips" rather than "chapped lips." I cannot really think of any other good examples right at this moment, which is odd, because about everyday I say one or think one. So peculiar to me.

Another thing that happened at work, is how I once again have so many hours that I get to take a shift off tomorrow. I really wanted to pick the day shift just because I get way more frustrated during it, but went with the twilight shift. At least that allows me to pick my dad up from the airport so he doesn't have to take a cab. Cabbies are kind of odd, strange people so that makes me feel bad when he has to. Also, my boyfriend is probably going to drive up from Iowa tomorrow so at least this way he can come earlier and things will most likely work out better that way.

Well I think that should be a big enough piece of my gabbing for you to chew on for a while! Until later :)

check it out now

Well, it is late! I am rather tired right now but I just wanted to jot a quick blog.
First, I must say I absolutely LOVE "Chelsea Lately" (tv show on E!). It is so hilarious, everytime I watch it, I just love it more and more. It is pretty great. I guess, what I really want to say is, everybody: WATCH IT!!!!! check it out now.
Alright, other than television, I have been working a heck of a lot! I don't really do anything except work. Well on the weekends I get to go have fun of course, but during the week I am always busy. Some crazy guy at work also seems to believe I am losing weight, I don't think I am, but I think its funny that he says that. He is CRAZY seriously.
On another subject, I want to make sugar cookies this weekend. I don't know if I actually will, but I sure want to! That would be great.
Also, I really want to see my best friend NATASHA SLESK HOLMQUIST BARASHKA. seriously now. seriously.
And that is all. :)

Packerland

One thing I have always loved is a good weekend, this weekend was definitely one of those. I went with my dad to Green Bay, WI for a Christmas party. It was a very fun trip.

We left on late Friday afternoon so that we would get to Wausau, WI at about dinner time, that way we could eat at this great restaurant, Hereford & Hops. It was delicious! It is a place where you pick your own steak and grill it yourself. It was such a neat experience and the steaks were very great as well.

Saturday morning we left the hotel early in the morning and went shopping. I found some great deals and bought a lot of fun shirts at Steve & Berry's. Then we went to a couple other stores and I found just a couple more things.

Saturday night was the party and I had an excellent time. Met a lot of nice people and a lot of fun people. There were some funny events at the party, lots of laughter, and lots of good food. After the party we just watched tv in our hotel room, but I went to the vending machines and much to my surprise the meat company's salami sticks were in the vending machine! I was surprised but quite pleased.

We then drove back to Minnesota today. It was snowing towards the end of the drive, but it was a good one. Life on the road is always, ALWAYS, better when you have XM. (Well now it is Sirius XM--they merged).

Anyhow, that is the update on the weekend I had. Now I have a big week ahead and hope it goes well and I can't wait for it to be Friday. Hahahahaha. No, I don't hate the weekdays that much, but Fridays are so enjoyable. Well until another time... :)

hot then cold

What a week! I went full time at FedEx so I was BUSY this week. Monday was killer really, the other days weren't too bad. The best news is I have too many hours so I don't even have to work tomorrow!! I am pretty dang excited about it, because today I was struggling to make my muscles work hard and fast. Also, my dad and I are going to Green Bay and now we don't have to wake up early Saturday morning, but instead we leave tomorrow night! I was also informed that we get to stop at this restaurant that is on the way there, it is a steak house where you get to pick your own steak or something? We stopped there last time on the way but it was during lunch still so we missed the good stuff, except my dad has been there before for the dinner part, thats how he knows its a great place to go for dinner. I am pretty excited about that!
Anyhow, I am kind of tired and should probably go to bed! So maybe some fun news will come by the end of the weekend. We'll see. Until then..... :)
