Truely

Today.

Not a very interesting day at all I guess. The gym was kind of lame, so I drank a sugar free Red Bull. I haven't had caffeine in so long, it was like crazy town in turbo! Pretty funny actually, we were having a lot of good laughs.

Anyhow, the old guy who is suspended from the gym for the time being called in to talk to our manager (before the manager was there), he kindly sang to me the song he made up. It was so kind of him. The song goes "Oh truely, I love thee dearest Julie." SERIOUSLY. How could I even make that up?! He is nuts.

Other than that, pretty boring day. Verrrry nice weather. I absolutely love it and am highly considering on going on one of my 7 mile fun runs. That sounds like a really great idea right now, but I am not so sure if I will or not.

That is all. Rather lame, I will hopefully have some events that will make it up later! We will see. :)

day of jam

Seems as though today my life involved jam (in all forms). Trust me, I find it just as strange as you do that I have even said that. Therefore, I will definitely explain (obviously!).

So for starters, this old gentleman that comes to the gym every day is named Ray. He makes jams and other goods of the sort at his home. He has brought me some of his grape jam in the past, it was pretty good! Well today, he brought some rasberry-rhubarb JAM. It was okay, I am not the biggest fan of it I guess, but none the less enjoyed it. So that explains the first jam.

Next, as I have mentioned before, I have been doing a big laminating project at work and the machine keeps getting JAMmed. They had me go buy a new machine today before I got to work, and wouldn't you know, the first thing I sent through jammed. So we exchanged that laminating machine for the next one up, it was the JAM Free series (just what I like to hear!!). That solved the problem and was way nicer to use. There you have the next jam of my day.

Continuing with the theme, I went over to a coworkers house this evening to dye her hair for her. It turned out way nice! We both agreed it looked pretty excellent and nobody would be making fun of us tomorrow (as they joked that she would come in with purple hair or bald tomorrow--silly gooseheads!). Well after we were done with the dying of the hair, we were trying to figure out how to install her new printer. It was not doing it the normal way and we were trying everything but the computer kept JAMming. Well that one was a stretch, but thats the final jam of my day.

Weird I know. Well other than all the jam, today was excellent. I love Thursdays; mainly for three reasons. The first reason is that it is the day before FRIDAY (best day of the week!); the second reason is that Thursdays have shown a trend to be the least busy day at the gym!! I love that. The third and final reason is that the Tues/Thurs bike riding gang at the gym (and by gang I am referring to 4-5 men in their fifties or so--hahaha) bring me a cookie! One of the BEST cookies I have ever had actually. It is from Great Harvest, oatmeal chocolate chip, and about the size of your hand stretched out, yes THAT big. It is A-W-E-S-O-M-E!!! Whats not to love about Thursdays?!

Anyhow, this case of crazy will end on that! :)

two-fer

Yeah I realize I already made one post today, but I really wanted to suggest this video everybody should watch (because it is hilarious!). It is a video off youtube.com sorry if you have already seen it, but I could watch it a million times and still probably laugh!! :)

raindrops

Today started out with some rain, I love when its raining and I'm at the gym. No real reason why, I usually just like laughing at people and how they deal with getting wet or just their general attitudes when its raining. It was done raining by the time I had to go outside, so thats even better.

Well something interesting I did today at work (it is also quite gross, but doesn't bother me) that is that I cut the skin off a huge blister I had on the bottom of my foot. It was probably about two inches in diameter, no kidding! I didn't think it was that gross, but I'm betting a lot of people might. hahahaha.

Something else that I did at work today, I finally broke the laminating machine! hahahaha. It had been jamming up, yesterday it did once, then today it did twice, with the second time being unfixable. I can't believe it, I don't know how it happened. I did do A LOT of laminating with it though, and it is only a small machine, not for such a big job I don't think. Oh well!

Another update, I am through about 540 pages of my book I'm reading (Atlas Shrugged). I am still loving it; I suggest anyone who can handle the advanced reading as well as having the time to read it, should definitely do so! It is very long but worth it (as far as I can tell anyway!). It is one of those books that makes you think and I find myself a lot of the time evaluating the things in the book with real life events or people I know. How interesting.

Well Sept 12th is my last day opening the gym I am pretty sure and I could not be more excited about that!!! It will be nice to sleep in for sure. I may have already mentioned it though. Just goes to show how much I think about it and how excited I really am! :)

Well until next time!

perspective

Alright, today I am verrrry tired! Waking up at 3:50 this morning was not easy and definitely not fun. But there was one good thought at that time of the day, that is that I will not have to do it much longer! That is way exciting, except for the fact that I really have to get another job, something I hate doing-looking for a new job. But I am certain everything will work out just fine and be even better than what I have. I really like my gym job, its fun and real nice, but it is just time to move on.

So, today at work I was laminating a whole bunch of "valve tags" for the maintenance crew, and I got two of them jammed in the laminate machine. We had to take it completely apart, something I don't think you are supposed to do, and then pull really hard to get the plastics out and then put it back together again. Thank goodness for a guy named Mike, he really did all the work. How nice of him!

Well it feels like fall is coming this way! I am rather neutral on it this year, in regards to whether I am excited about it or not. Some people do get excited about it, I on the other hand just don't know yet. I am so used to school starting once its here, but no longer, and I think I miss it a lot. Who knows why? I could bet thousands of dollars that if I were still going to school, I would not be saying the same thing. Most likely I would be saying how much I wish summer lasted forever and school never arrived. But I've always liked school, just not liked starting it.

Hmm, another story, I bought a milk & cereal bar (Cheerios kind) at the gas station this afternoon, wearing my Bally Total Fitness work gear. The guy ringing up the sale said to me that I should be buying a powerbar or something like that. It was a good laugh, but I do get annoyed sometimes when people do that. I don't get annoyed real bad by it, just a tiny bit. Another time when this happened was just last Friday in fact. I went to Dennys to pick up an order for one of the personal trainers at the gym, there was a member who frequents the gym sitting in Dennys having a cup of coffee or something. He yelled out "hey aren't you from Ballys??? caught you!!!!" oh it was silly. He is the same guy who used to tell me everyday for at least 2 weeks that I look exactly like the girl at the end of one of the Applebee's commercial. Kinda crazy!

Well this story is one that made me sad today, but also a lot of laughing was involved. There is this old man who comes to the gym everyday, he is a big huge pervert and an apparent theif. He was just caught last Saturday stealing a protein bar, that was the second time in just 2 or 3 months. Well today the maintenance guy was going to stop him from coming in and take away his membership card. So at the front desk waiting for him was: the maintenance guy, two male trainers, and myself. The old man comes in and the maintenance guy says "Gordon I cannot let you come in today" and took his card. The old man was so sad! He said he didn't take a bar on Saturday, then later stated he didn't remember taking a bar, he was lying totally. (The whole time I was attempting to hide behind one of the trainers, which most likely looked like an elephant trying to hide behind a parking meter!) Anyhow, the old man left. The 3 of us couldn't help but crack up over the whole situation (the maintenance guy left to go make some phone calls). Well anyway, about five minutes later we see the old man driving back up! It was so crazy! We couldn't imagine just what was going to happen next, we thought he was going to storm in with a piece of his mind, or something crazier. Well he came in and just said to the maintenance guy "you took my card, I was just going to go over to the gym at St Louis Park, but you have my card." So the maintenance guy then informed him he doesn't get to use ANY of the gyms until he contacts our general manager. The old man then left. So I guess we will see what happens with that. But oh how nuts.

I am thinking that is a good place to end, especially seeing how much I have gabbed today! Lots of chatter! Hopefully good though :)

Sunday, August 24, 2008

Let's see, my weekend was pretty great. Nothing real exciting, but quite fun.

Saturday morning I went into work for a while. It wasn't too bad, pretty easy, nothing real challenging. Then after work, I went with my dad to the MN state fair! That was really fun!! I had my favorite ice cream ever, saw and petted some cows (way fun!), watched some people do karaoke--that was funny, watched some boys throw baseballs to see how fast they could throw, and lots of other things! I really enjoyed it, there was a whole lot of people there! Generally I hate large crowds of people, mainly because they really just wander like cattle and annoy me, but it really was not bad at all.

We also got a lot of free stuff at the fair, we always walk around the buildings and it can be quite fun, as well as informational. I signed the big TimberWolves jersey that will hang in the rafters this season at the Targer Center--how neat! But, something that I did spend money on, a back scratcher!! Well worth the dollar I paid for it, let me tell ya! It is extendable, so it shortens and lengthens, which is what sold me, I love it.

Well, I will just leave it on that note!! :)

work it

well this one should be a little interesting!! It has been one heck of a day!
So to start, work at the gym was just fine, nothing totally out of the ordinary, nothing too funny, nothing real exciting, therefore the fun starts when I got to my other job at about 11:30am.

First of all, I get there and my main boss was standing in the main office area talking to a coworker and myself, then the bossman leaves to go to his own office. I am sitting there taking a drink of water when an e-mail from the bossman pops up, simply stating he had something for me to do and to go to his office. I burst out laughing, as did my coworker when I showed her. It was just crazy that he did not say anything until after he walks away and e-mails me.

Moving along, I do the task he had for me and give him the results of it. I am then onto some other big project they gave me to do, when the bossman walks out into the main office area again and asks me to punch ONE hole in the corner of these sheets he was holding (there were about 10). It was so bizarre! I mean how hard is it to just take the stack, put it in the puncher, and push down as to get the job done. EASY. He is just a nut.

Then, a couple of minutes later, he interupts my big project again to have me drive the company truck over to pick up some tables we rented. I really did not mind, but he just has me do the most random things ever.

Well after work I went and got my hair trimmed. It turned out alright I guess, I certainly needed a little trim. What really irritates me though is how it seems that every time I go ask for a specific haircut, with picture--whatever, the stylist usually has some other idea or some reason as to why I shouldn't get the one I want. It really bothers me when they do that!! Why can't I just get what I want, and if it is hard to maintain, then I will deal with that? Its not like they are going to have to! Anyway, thats why I usually stick to only certain places to get my hair done, I really enjoy the Aveda school on most occasions.

Welp, thats enough ranting and raving for now!! :)

sweets for my sweet

Well the great news of today is that the 89 year old guy who comes into the gym everyday brought me my favorite chocolates ever! So nice!! A bag of Ghiradelli dark chocolate squares filled with caramel. How wonderful. He is one of my all-time favorites and he has now brought me chocolates 2 times. The ironic thing is, he has never talked to any other single person at the gym besides me!! SWEET.

On another subject, one thing that absolutely drives me insane is when people use the wrong tense/form of a word and bad grammar in general. For example, somebody wrote a note at work asking someone to work for them and they wrote "let me know if your interested." Ahhh! I cannot stand it whatsoever when people do that. Especially when it is a business, one of my apartments in Arizona had the wrong form of the word your/you're on many signs they had hanging around. NOT COOL.

Moving along, something great about today is that the Minnesota State Fair has started! It is a real blast, lots of fun things. My favorite thing about the fair is probably the ice cream made with NO2. It is so delicious, not like any I have ever had before. AMAZING.

I guess that is all I have to say. Kind of surprising if you know how much I LOVE talking!! hehe.

Wednesday, August 20, 2008

I guess I have decided to start a blog. I don't know what kind of exciting things or news I will have to talk about, so it may not last very long? but who knows?!

Well starting off, today I ran 7.25 miles. It was very humid out, that made it really sweaty! And really took the fun out of it! But oh well, excercise is important!!

Let's see, I am currently reading a book, Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand. Pretty good one if you ask me. I am kind of afraid I won't finish it, because number one its long, but number two (and more importantly) almost everyone who has seen me reading it has made the comment that they have tried multiple times and only got so far and quit. But I find it quite interesting so I'm betting I will finish it! But my fingers will be crossed just in case.

Well its almost college football season, that's fun! But not as fun as baseball season, which is still going on (incase you did not know, if you didn't then we are probably not friends hehehe) but the Twins are in a big race with the white snox for the division. I really hope the Twins pull it off!

I think this has probably bored anybody who is reading it, but hopefully they will get better as I acquire more experience. hahaha! Well until next time!!
