BOGEY

Well, last Wednesday, the twelfth of August in the year of two thousand and nine, my dear friend Morgan and I volunteered, also spectated, at the 91st PGA. It was so neat!! I love love loved the experience!! We saw quite a few golfers and got a few autographs. The course, Hazeltine, is very beautiful. We did not get to see Tiger Woods, however, we DID see Y.E. Yang, who won it all!!

Here are some pictures I was able to capture:

This is me, obviously, posing with PGA logo on fence!

This was my favorite golfer, Nick Dougherty. He was so nice!!

Nick D. signing autographs.

Morgan and I posing by the course map. Cool outfits.

This is the one and only, Geoff Ogilvy.

Vijay Singh!!!! Signing autographs. Go Fiji.

The champion himself, Y.E. Yang!! (On the left, in such a cute/fashionable outfit!) Bright.

British's own, LUKE DONALD.

The young and quite nice, Anthony Kim! We got his autograph. I also told him I liked his shirt, he said "Thank you! Very much!" Sincerely. hahaha.
And that wraps up this posting session! I loved the time well spent with Morgan. It was a beautiful day, and now I am slightly thinking I could be a small fan of golf! Crazy, I know, but we'll see what happens. Until later!! :)

Photogs!!!

So, I got a new camera (as mentioned before I believe!!). So far, I absolutely LOVE it! I haven't had many events or things that I need to be capturing photogs of, but I snapped a few here and there and these are them:

St. Paul, MN (from across the Mississippi River)

Flowers! From the Como Zoo & Conservatory

Again, Como's beautiful flowers

Yet again, flowers! My dad says "that would be a great background photo!" (hint hint--in case your desktop needs something new and fresh! haha)

The BEAUTIFUL (and TASTY) German Chocolate Cake I made for our intern's last day of work

Some pretty rocks from Taylors Falls, WI. They are down in a "pothole" which was created by glaciers moving (something of that sort).

Elvis is alive and well, scarfing a lady at the Mall of America. (okay, he's a pretend Elvis who won the competition of Elvis impersonators)

And last, but not least, SCRUMPTIOUS truffles!!! I made them, took them to work, they were gobbled down in a flash! What a hit. Thanks Bakerella (and more importantly Natashka Barashka!!) for enlightening my life with these dangerous little goodies!!!
Those are all the pictures I'm sharing for now! I should have some more good ones coming up soon, because this month is going to be a BUSY one!!!! Seriously busy--I will be out at the PGA the day after tomorrow (Wednesday) watching Tiger, Padraig, Phil, and the boys, Iowa next weekend for tubing down a river, Meredith & Ron are getting married the following weekend, the 27th Bonnie Raitt Concert (and the start of the Minnesota State Fair!!!), and September 2nd--Randy Travis Concert!!
Pretty long list of FUN for the upcoming weeks! So look forward to that.
Until then.... :)

No Such Thing as TOO MUCH FUN!

WHAT a busy weekend!!! More busy than I ever expected it would be! My dad left for vacation today, to Las Vegas, for a week. Lucky him! But yesterday (Saturday) I think he wanted to fit in as much fun here in the Great White North before he headed out to fun in the hot hot desert sun.

So what all did we do??
Well, to start the day of, we went to IHOP and ate breakfast. I was starving so it was pretty delicious. I had the "Quick Two Egg Breakfast" which was 2 eggs (over easy), 2 slices toast, bacon, and hash browns. Very tasty.

Next, we went to the Mall of America. I stopped in the MAC makeup store to look for one of my favorite colors of their pigment, but they apparently didn't have it. So they signed me up for some event on Aug 21st, we'll see if I make it. Also, we stopped in Franklin Covey, my dad got a refill for his "brain" (which is what I call his daily planner), I got a magnetic bulletin strip along with a pen that is really neat. Oh, there was a Spongebob Squarepants Party going on!! I overheard some lady say "oh Spongebob Squarepants? I think that's that pizza place...." Ah how hilarious!!!! Well, I ended up buying a pair of gorgeous heels that I am really excited about and a BEAUTIFUL purse that was just SCREAMING Jules!!! I LOVE LOVE LoVE it!!!!

After the Mall of America, my dad and I then went on to another mall! They were having some sort of "junk convention" (which was actually just a bunch of old people with lots of tables set up with TONS of antiques on them they were selling really cheap! We walked around this mall for quite some time, the only purchase was my dad's dollar he spent on some weird tourist type coins from Arizona and Colorado.

Once we left the second mall, we headed to Treasure Island for some BOWLING! It was a lot of fun. I love their bowling alley. I ended up losing 3 games, but I did win ONE! I also broke 100 one game, and can say I ALMOST won 2 games (lost the last one by 2 pins!!). It was great.

After bowling, we were hungry and ate buffet. It was delicious but a lot of food in a short time. I don't know why I feel the need to eat buffets at the highest speed possible.

Then, we went to the new Harry Potter film!!! I liked it. My dad is neutral on it, only because he says they left him standing in the dark, he expected something to happen with the phoenix flying away at the end or something. But anyhow, great movie.

Anyhow, it was a very fun day!!

Also this weekend, I broke down and bought a new digital camera!!! I love it so far! This is what one I got:
It is a Sony Cybershot DSC-S980. I think it's a great one.

Well other than that, the weekend is just about over, my dad is en route to Vegas, and I will be back to work tomorrow. Ah the joys of "real life." :) Until later...

an apple a day

Well, I am pretty much in shock that it is already about the MIDDLE OF JULY!!!!! I hate when summer FLIES by! It is too much fun, really it is. Well not TOO much fun, because "there's no such thing," but it's pretty darn close to that.

Anyhow, I just got done watching The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien. They had the most bizarre musical guest on there, "Hair." I can honestly say I don't think I liked them, AT ALL. :)

Other than that, I haven't been up to a whole lot, just working my life away and trying to enjoy all the time I have to myself when I'm NOT working.

And this one is short but sweet! I will leave with one of my F-A-V-O-R-I-T-E pictures ever, with some picniked touches to it! I LOVE it! L-O-V-E!!! Until next time....

Also, I'm very excited for the newest Harry Potter film to come out this week!!!!!! :)

It's Satchel Paige

So the past month has been fairly busy, which is EXACTLY how summer should be!! I love summer. I really love it A LOT actually!! I like hot weather, baseball, hot dogs, sunshine, water, and just how people are usually more happy and peppy. Life is just great.

Well, the main thing I've been doing with my spare time is enjoying baseball! I love baseball and just can't seem to get enough.

For my dad's birthday I bought tickets to the Brewers vs. Giants, at Miller Park in Milwaukee. I LOVE this stadium. I think of all the stadiums I have been too so far, it is my favorite.
They have a SLIDE in the outfield, when the home team hits a home run, a mascot slides down it!!! LOVE it!!! Corey Hart. I am a fan. His at bat song, Alan Jackon's "Country Boy."
I know what you're thinking "what is Edward Cullen's dad doing at a baseball game?!?!" hahaha. Well, it's actually a lady, who maybe doesn't own a mirror.
Just a shot of the view from our seats.
Well, for the Fourth of Julie(July), my dad and I went down to Kansas City to meet my brother and sister-in-law for a Royals vs. White Sox game. It was a lot of fun!
The fountains in the outfield. I would have loved to run through them.
The Royals' jumbo-tron, its big, its nice. The Twins' new one will be bigger, and nicer. :) But it was great.
Our view. Not too bad at all!
Morgan was there!! Us prior to the start of the game.
That's just a glimpse of the fun. If I could figure out how to upload some videos I have on my phone, everyone would enjoy a great laugh. At the Royals game, we had THE ultimate Royals Fan directly in front of us. He was insane, it was great!!
After the Royals game, we went to Riverfest in Kansas City. It was a really fun time. The videos I have from that are of a 60 or so year old man dancing his booty off. It was totally nuts. The old man would not stop! As soon as I get those videos on my computer, I promise I'll share! :)
So that's what I have been doing. Enjoying life really. I love it. I just hope summer and fun doesn't just fly by, but that tends to be how it goes. Well, until next time! :)

long time gone

Well, LOOKS like I've become a lame "blogger." Just about one a month.
Well THAT has got to CHANGE!!
I promise it will.

This week I will make a fun blog with pictures of my fun adventures! Including:
Milwaukee Brewers game in Milwaukee.
Kansas City Royals game in Kansas City. Along with the 4th in Kansas City.
And who knows what else!

Until then, please be patient!! :)

life in puzzle books and picture frames

Well, vacation is clearly over and I am back to working and little sleep and all the real fun stuff! I tried putting the pictures mostly in order, and they are, almost!! Anyhow, enjoy a few of the images captured while I was out visiting my very favorite barashka, natashka! AND her awesome handsome little slice of heaven HEATH! And her maid, Posh. :)

Enjoy:

Best Cupcake in the entire world! From Disneyland on Natashka's birthday! DELICIOUS!!

This is cute little Heath bar, attempting to throw a fit or get some attention. It was too hilarious! He just fell back on the floor waiting for someone to do something about it!

Beautiful!!! Mother and Son.

My first day there, the baseball game Tash and I went to!

Part of the Padres' stadium is an old building, they just built around. Sweet place to watch the best sport in the world.

Heath is now ready to go!! Soak in some sun perhaps

Happy Birthday Natashka!!!!! On our way to the Happiest Place in the World!!! DISNEYLAND.

Tashka, Posh, Heath bar, and I at Disneyland, saying "you're welcome" to the sign, which says: "Thank you for celebrating with us today!" They were clearly aware it was Tashka's birthday!

I think they are putting this on the brochure. Or at least, THEY SHOULD!!!

Heath is the cutest in the world!!! I LOVE this picture!! Love love love.

The ocean. Oh and Tashka and Juleskee. :)

Spectacular. Pretty.

One of these things is not like the other!! Who invited the angry kid to Cold Stone?!?

I think this is the family picture that should go on the wall of their home!! Super size it. Love!!

Natashka and I. Typical. Pacific Beach, before a delicious lunch!!

Captured that Kodak Moment!!! What an excellent one!! Just about my favorite picture.

I am pretty sure he is thinking "mom, dad, can't you please just pack me in her suitcase and let me go home with her??? She's my favorite!!!" right? yes. That's what he is thinking! I don't doubt it for a second!!

Wow, we are both normal!!! Pretty!!!

Heath had his own little party in this shopping basket!!! He was going wild. I'm thinking about buying him one for his birthday. hahahahaha. Get ready for that Tash and Posh.

Do we scare you?

We saw these dogs parked in a jeep in the parking lot. Heath loved them.

The maid, I mean Joshka, made such delicious sandwiches and burgers!!! This is one of the many sandwiches he made for me for dinner one night. I really think he should open a restaurant, seriously. :)

How sad, a goodbye picture!!! :(

Heath and I's goodbye picture! :(

Multi-tasker already, waiting for important phone calls during his breakfast. Oh little slice of heaven.

Cute cute cute picture of a CUTE cute CUTE little boy!!! He definitely has my heart. And this was him saying please don't leave, as we were on our way to the airport. Love the little guy!!
And that is all, for now at least!!! I love these pictures so much! The week really was amazing, I did not want to leave. Love the Holmquists!!! :) Until next time..
