short short short

Well, the last couple of weeks have been pretty busy for me! I went to the Iowa vs. Arizona game down in Iowa City with two of my favorite friends, Morgan and Jessica. We are lucky to be alive.

It was a lot of fun!!

Here are a few pictures, in reverse order, of kind of our day:

Those are all the pictures for now!
This Friday Morgan and I are going to Miranda Lambert's concert!!! I'm so excited for that!!
Until next time.... :)

Something To Talk About

FINALLY! I uploaded some pictures from the Great Minnesota Get Together, or what normal people call, The Minnesota State Fair. Well, my experience at the fair was not well documented through photographs, but the concerts I went to at the fair were. So here is what I've got:

The BonTag Roulet concert which featured Taj Majhal and BONNIE RAITT! It was a pretty great concert, however, I did not get very many great pictures from it. So here is one:

Bon Bon
Next picture is of some cows. I like going through the cow barn and I like touching the cows, but I'm always afraid they are going to kick me. So far, they have a clean record of not doing so.

The next concert was RANDY TRAVIS, with JOE NICHOLS as an opening act! I LOVED it!!!!
Joe Nichols
Joe Nichols getting into it
Joe Nichols
And Joe Nichols!!
Now, the living legend himself.....
RANDY TRAVIS!!!!
RANDY TRAVIS!!!!!
RANDY TRAVIS!!!!!
AND RANDY TRAVIS!!!!!
And at 10:30pm, they shoot off fireworks. How pretty.
That's all I got for this round of blogging, but I've got some other nice pictures and things for the next time. So look forward to that soon. :)

BOGEY

Well, last Wednesday, the twelfth of August in the year of two thousand and nine, my dear friend Morgan and I volunteered, also spectated, at the 91st PGA. It was so neat!! I love love loved the experience!! We saw quite a few golfers and got a few autographs. The course, Hazeltine, is very beautiful. We did not get to see Tiger Woods, however, we DID see Y.E. Yang, who won it all!!

Here are some pictures I was able to capture:

This is me, obviously, posing with PGA logo on fence!

This was my favorite golfer, Nick Dougherty. He was so nice!!

Nick D. signing autographs.

Morgan and I posing by the course map. Cool outfits.

This is the one and only, Geoff Ogilvy.

Vijay Singh!!!! Signing autographs. Go Fiji.

The champion himself, Y.E. Yang!! (On the left, in such a cute/fashionable outfit!) Bright.

British's own, LUKE DONALD.

The young and quite nice, Anthony Kim! We got his autograph. I also told him I liked his shirt, he said "Thank you! Very much!" Sincerely. hahaha.
And that wraps up this posting session! I loved the time well spent with Morgan. It was a beautiful day, and now I am slightly thinking I could be a small fan of golf! Crazy, I know, but we'll see what happens. Until later!! :)

Photogs!!!

So, I got a new camera (as mentioned before I believe!!). So far, I absolutely LOVE it! I haven't had many events or things that I need to be capturing photogs of, but I snapped a few here and there and these are them:

St. Paul, MN (from across the Mississippi River)

Flowers! From the Como Zoo & Conservatory

Again, Como's beautiful flowers

Yet again, flowers! My dad says "that would be a great background photo!" (hint hint--in case your desktop needs something new and fresh! haha)

The BEAUTIFUL (and TASTY) German Chocolate Cake I made for our intern's last day of work

Some pretty rocks from Taylors Falls, WI. They are down in a "pothole" which was created by glaciers moving (something of that sort).

Elvis is alive and well, scarfing a lady at the Mall of America. (okay, he's a pretend Elvis who won the competition of Elvis impersonators)

And last, but not least, SCRUMPTIOUS truffles!!! I made them, took them to work, they were gobbled down in a flash! What a hit. Thanks Bakerella (and more importantly Natashka Barashka!!) for enlightening my life with these dangerous little goodies!!!
Those are all the pictures I'm sharing for now! I should have some more good ones coming up soon, because this month is going to be a BUSY one!!!! Seriously busy--I will be out at the PGA the day after tomorrow (Wednesday) watching Tiger, Padraig, Phil, and the boys, Iowa next weekend for tubing down a river, Meredith & Ron are getting married the following weekend, the 27th Bonnie Raitt Concert (and the start of the Minnesota State Fair!!!), and September 2nd--Randy Travis Concert!!
Pretty long list of FUN for the upcoming weeks! So look forward to that.
Until then.... :)

No Such Thing as TOO MUCH FUN!

WHAT a busy weekend!!! More busy than I ever expected it would be! My dad left for vacation today, to Las Vegas, for a week. Lucky him! But yesterday (Saturday) I think he wanted to fit in as much fun here in the Great White North before he headed out to fun in the hot hot desert sun.

So what all did we do??
Well, to start the day of, we went to IHOP and ate breakfast. I was starving so it was pretty delicious. I had the "Quick Two Egg Breakfast" which was 2 eggs (over easy), 2 slices toast, bacon, and hash browns. Very tasty.

Next, we went to the Mall of America. I stopped in the MAC makeup store to look for one of my favorite colors of their pigment, but they apparently didn't have it. So they signed me up for some event on Aug 21st, we'll see if I make it. Also, we stopped in Franklin Covey, my dad got a refill for his "brain" (which is what I call his daily planner), I got a magnetic bulletin strip along with a pen that is really neat. Oh, there was a Spongebob Squarepants Party going on!! I overheard some lady say "oh Spongebob Squarepants? I think that's that pizza place...." Ah how hilarious!!!! Well, I ended up buying a pair of gorgeous heels that I am really excited about and a BEAUTIFUL purse that was just SCREAMING Jules!!! I LOVE LOVE LoVE it!!!!

After the Mall of America, my dad and I then went on to another mall! They were having some sort of "junk convention" (which was actually just a bunch of old people with lots of tables set up with TONS of antiques on them they were selling really cheap! We walked around this mall for quite some time, the only purchase was my dad's dollar he spent on some weird tourist type coins from Arizona and Colorado.

Once we left the second mall, we headed to Treasure Island for some BOWLING! It was a lot of fun. I love their bowling alley. I ended up losing 3 games, but I did win ONE! I also broke 100 one game, and can say I ALMOST won 2 games (lost the last one by 2 pins!!). It was great.

After bowling, we were hungry and ate buffet. It was delicious but a lot of food in a short time. I don't know why I feel the need to eat buffets at the highest speed possible.

Then, we went to the new Harry Potter film!!! I liked it. My dad is neutral on it, only because he says they left him standing in the dark, he expected something to happen with the phoenix flying away at the end or something. But anyhow, great movie.

Anyhow, it was a very fun day!!

Also this weekend, I broke down and bought a new digital camera!!! I love it so far! This is what one I got:
It is a Sony Cybershot DSC-S980. I think it's a great one.

Well other than that, the weekend is just about over, my dad is en route to Vegas, and I will be back to work tomorrow. Ah the joys of "real life." :) Until later...
